Bariatric Surgery – Pre and Post Op
Over the past 20 years, weight loss surgery has become more prevalent as a viable option to treat diabetes and prevent a multitude of medical comorbidities in patients. Dr. Bock has completed a doctoral program where one of his specialties was the treatment of bariatric surgery patients. He was the bariatric coordinator for a bariatric program in Mercer County for over six years and has helped thousands of patients undergoing bariatric surgery in his career. He specialized in the management of patients through the entire process of a bariatric program. Dr. Bock is trained to help alleviate food intolerance, improve hydration and establish an individualized supplement regimen. Dr. Bock no longer provides pre-operative care and clearances but can assist the patient with post-operative care and provide coaching and reinforcement to make sustainable changes long term. Dr. Bock has authored educational materials for major surgical and pharmaceutical companies that are provided to bariatric surgery patients, as well as several research projects to demonstrate his success with postoperative care and the prevention of complications after surgery.
